I've spent the past year tuning up the Pay-Per-Click and Search Engine Optimization campaigns, as well as searching out the best advertising mediums for the eBook. I firmly believe this is a Million Dollar Idea.
I'll continue posting about my marketing and advertising successes/failures on this blog, but I'm moving the majority of posts about the funny awards themselves to the newly launched Funny Awards Blog.
As you may have guessed, the blog launch is part of the Million Dollar eBook Marketing Plan. Stay tuned - things are about to get interesting.

I'm an animator now. I published my first animated cartoon on the web only a few hours after hearing about GoAnimate.com. It's that easy. But I must warn you: only visit the site if you are prepared to forsake everything else in your life. Feed your kids first, then visit. It's that addictive.
Admittedly I put little thought into my debut into animation. I found an office background, imported a couple of characters, and had them go at it. But it's still pretty cool, right? I'm planning a whole series to promote www.FunnyEmployeeAwards.com
I may also animate some comedy sketches from my CDs like "Ghost in the Trailer," "Escape From Alimony", or "Hip Hop Hoedown". Stay tuned!
I'm trying to produce a video that will show how quick and easy it is to make your own custom printable award certificates. Please watch this 60 second video and let me know if it gets the point across:

It's about time for end of the year office party season to begin. This means awkward dinner conversation, subjecting your new boyfriend/girlfriend to your dysfunctional coworkers, and - best of all - funny awards presentations.
I'm collecting stories and award ideas for my new site dedicated to funny awards, FunnyEmployeeAwards.com. There you will find:
Apparently any business can be subjected to funny awards. They are most often associated with office parties, but no worker is immune. They're not unique to the U.S., either. The British particularly seem to enjoy a good "cheeky" awards presentation.
I once had a boss ask me to PhotoShop the head of one of my female coworkers onto the body of a bikini model. I explained to him that this seemed... well, inappropriate, and that I wanted no part of it. Undeterred, he used the old-fashioned scissors and glue method to fashion a funny award certificate featuring the head of my coworker pasted onto the body of WWE women's wrestler Chyna. I don't recall the award, but I'll always remember the uncomfortable presentation that ensued. It was truly a moment worthy of The Office's Michael Scott himself.
So what are your funny award stories? What funny awards have you seen? Post them below to the comments section and keep checking back for ideas!
